It started on a hot streak in Wisconsin.

Micah—our founder and resident golf fiend—was on a heater. Three birdies in a row, stepping up to a par 3, ready to make it four. As the low scorer, he had honors on the tee.

But one of the guys in his group—clearly frustrated after a couple rough holes—jumped ahead and hit out of turn.

Micah looked at him and simply said, “That’s bad juju.” The guy’s shot? Straight into the water. Micah? Stuck it four feet from the pin, drained the putt, and locked in his fourth birdie in a row.

The guy turned to him and asked, “Wait… is that bad juju for you too?”

Micah just shrugged: “Nah, that’s bad juju for you.” And just like that, the name stuck.

Micah brought his siblings in soon after, and Bad Juju Golf became a family-run brand built on momentum, swagger, and quiet confidence.
